About the Light Sussex

The most familiar Sussex: a clean white body offset by black neck-hackle striping, black tail and black in the flights and wing coverts — the classic Columbian marking. It is one of the three colours recognised on both sides of the Atlantic and the benchmark variety for the breed's sound dual-purpose qualities, laying tinted eggs and finishing well as a table bird.
