About the White Star
The White Star carries crisp, pure-white plumage that stays snowy when kept clean, set off by an upright tail carriage and the oversized, jauntily flopping single comb characteristic of its White Leghorn ancestry. As a four-line hybrid rather than a pure breed, she packs the Leghorn's prolific white-egg output into a lightweight, active frame, laying around 300 large white eggs a year and rarely going broody.
