About the Gold Laced Wyandotte
A golden-bay ground replaces the silver of the original, each feather rimmed in glossy black; females show a deep reddish-mahogany body under the lacing. It was produced by crossing silver-laced hens with gold-spangled Hamburgh and partridge Cochin cocks, and was recognised by the APA in 1888. It keeps the breed's rounded shape, rose comb and large brown eggs.
