About the Gold Barred Wybar
The Gold Wybar replaces the silver gene with the gold (s+) variant over the same barred base, warming the black-and-white pattern into gold-and-dark barring. It is the rarer of the breed's two colours — described as very rare even by Wybar standards — and shares the breed's autosexing trait, where chick down colour distinguishes the sexes. Otherwise it carries the same Wyandotte-derived build: a sturdy, soft-feathered, cold-hardy heavy fowl with a docile temperament, laying tinted eggs.
