About the Gold Duckwing Yokohama

The golden counterpart of the duckwing, the cock carrying a golden-straw hackle and saddle over a black breast and tail with a steely wing-bar, the hen a soft golden-grey with a salmon breast. Golden duckwing is among the further colours recognised under the inclusive UK Yokohama standard rather than the restricted German one. As with every Yokohama, it is an ornamental breed, the value lying in the trailing tail and saddle plumage rather than in its sparse, tinted eggs.
