About the Red Saddled White Yokohama
The classic and most authentic Yokohama colour: a predominantly white bird washed with red across the shoulders, wing-bow and saddle, the red bleeding into the long flowing tail and saddle hangers. This is the original red-saddled white developed by Hugo du Roi and one of only two colours recognised in Germany, where the name Yokohama was reserved for this gamey, red-lobed type. Like all Yokohamas it is purely ornamental, prized for its extravagant trailing plumage rather than its modest tinted lay.
