About the White Yokohama
A pure white Yokohama, free of the red shoulder and saddle markings of the original type, showing the breed's extravagantly long tail and trailing saddle feathers in clean unbroken white. White is one of the two colours recognised in Germany alongside the red-saddled, and was admitted with it to the American Standard of Perfection in 1981. It remains a strictly ornamental fowl, a graceful living ornament that lays only a modest number of tinted eggs.
