About the Blue Diamond Dove
'Blue' is the breeders' name for the original wild-type ground colour, the blue-grey bird used as the base series in Diamond Dove colour genetics (B = Blue) and combined with White-tail and White-rump forms to make crosses such as Blue Whitetail. It shows the standard slate body, black-edged white wing spots and red eye-ring of the natural bird.
