About the Fawn Diamond Dove
The Fawn (also marketed as Yellow) Diamond Dove is a captive colour mutation that warms the wild-type blue-grey plumage to a soft beige-brown, while retaining the characteristic white wing 'diamond' spots and the bright red eye-ring. It is one of the long-established aviary mutations of Geopelia cuneata, alongside silver, cinnamon, peach and red, and is freely kept and bred by aviculturists. A gentle, quiet ornamental dove in a paler dress.
