About the Pied Diamond Dove
A patterned (rather than ground-colour) mutation showing irregular white blotches breaking up the normal plumage, so each bird is individually marked. Pied is available in the fancy but is noted as somewhat difficult to work with and fix reliably, making well-marked birds less common. Pattern aside, it is the same tiny, gentle Australian aviary dove.
