About the Ash Ring-necked Dove

Ash is a combination colour rather than a single gene, produced by crossing the codominant Frosty and Tangerine mutations, which together yield a distinctive ashy-grey toned bird. It is one of the newer compound colours from the wave of Ringneck mutations identified since the 1960s. The temperament and care are those of the breed throughout: a calm, soft-cooing, easily-tamed aviary dove.
