About the Ivory Ring-necked Dove
Ivory is an autosomal recessive dilution (gene symbol iv) that softens the body to a paler, greyer tone with less brown than blond, and is pleiotropic — the same gene gives a lighter, mottled iris rather than the usual eye colour. Combined with rosy it produces a heavy-cream, light-tan bird. A pale, refined colour on the breed's quiet, easily-tamed companion dove.
