About the Black and White Ancona
The original and most common Ancona, carrying random black patches broken across a white ground on the head, back, sides and underbody so that no two birds match, much like Holstein cattle. The neck is usually solid white and the yellow bill carries dark spotting. As the breed baseline it shows the Ancona's hardy, dual-purpose nature and generous laying.
