About the Blue and White Ancona

This variety replaces the Ancona's black patches with a soft slate-blue, the broken markings still scattered randomly over a white ground with no set design. The blue is the single-dose blue dilution of the black pigment, so it breeds with the usual variability rather than true. Otherwise it shares the breed's white neck, spotted yellow bill and the same hardy, practical dual-purpose temperament.
