About the Greenhead Australian Spotted
The Greenhead is the original, non-blue form of the Australian Spotted: the drake carries an iridescent green head over a fawn body flecked and spotted with dark brown, a white neck-ring, deep-burgundy breast and sides, and orange feet. Genetically it is the base colour from which Bluehead and Silverhead arise, behaving like the black/blue/splash series in chickens. As with all three varieties it is a tiny, hardy bantam duck and the best layer of any bantam breed, though it is not recognised in the APA Standard.
