About the Silverhead Australian Spotted
The Silverhead is the double-blue (splash-equivalent) form: two doses of the blue gene lighten the drake's head and turn the body's flecking and spots silver, the palest of the three varieties over the same fawn ground, white neck-ring and burgundy breast. Green, blue and silver interbreed exactly like black/blue/splash in chickens, so Silverheads bred together breed true to silver. Like its siblings it is a compact, characterful bantam and an exceptional layer for its size, but is not recognised in the APA Standard.
