About the Mallard Bali Duck

The wild-type colour: drakes show a green-lustred black head, white neck-ring, claret breast and a blue speculum, while ducks are golden-brown with dark pencilling and the classic mallard eye-stripes. This is the closest the Bali comes to its ancestral wild plumage, and brown/mallard remains the common colouring in its Balinese homeland. The pom-pom crest and tall Runner carriage distinguish it from an ordinary mallard.
