About the Splash Blue Swedish
Splash is the other homozygous form of the blue gene, producing a pale, washed-out bird whose plumage is an irregular mix of white and light blue-grey — no two are marked alike, and it is sometimes called silver. Like the black it appears from blue x blue pairings (about 25%) and is not standard-recognised, but a splash crossed with a black gives an entire clutch of blues. It shares the breed's calm temperament and good foraging, dual-purpose build.
