About the Snowy Call Duck
The Snowy Call is created by the harlequin gene, which lightens the brown ground colour and floods the bird with white to produce a delicate, frosted harlequin pattern; the drake is darker and more richly red-buff about the head and shoulders than the paler female. It is a recognised colour in the American (APA/ABA) Call standards.
