About the Black Indian Runner
Solid black with a beetle-green lustre throughout, dark brown eyes and a black bill; legs as black as possible, though older drakes may show some orange. Admitted to the standard in 1930, it arose from the extended-black genes brought into the breed. A self-coloured, glossy version of the active, upright laying Runner.
