About the Cumberland Blue Indian Runner
A self blue Runner: rich dark blue plumage with slate-blue wings showing darker lacing on the coverts, and smoky orange-to-grey legs. Genetically it is extended black carrying one dose of blue dilution (E/E, Bl/bl+), so it does not breed wholly true. Admitted to the standard in 1930 and named for its Cumberland origins, it gives the upright laying Runner a soft, even blue coat.
