About the Trout Indian Runner
A pencilled wild-pattern colour: drakes have a green-black head, white neck-collar, silver-grey stippled back and a claret breast with white fringing; ducks are fawn with brown graining and clear eyebrow markings. Admitted in 1982, it resembles the wild mallard pattern but lightened. One of the more decorative Runners while keeping the breed's upright carriage and heavy white-egg lay.
