About the Blue And White Magpie Duck

Blue-and-white carries the same crisp magpie pattern but the cap and back markings are a soft blue-grey rather than black, the result of a single dose of the blue-dilution gene acting on black pigment. It was recognised by the Poultry Club of Great Britain in 1997 and is also accepted by the APA in the USA. It shares the breed's lively, foraging temperament and good output of white to pale-green eggs.
