About the White Miniature Crested Duck
The White is the most familiar and most commonly seen Crested Miniature, its pure-white plumage setting off the orange-yellow bill and orange legs and feet for a strikingly clean, eye-catching show bird. On the white ground the breed's signature pom-pom crest reads clearly, so judges can assess that it sits neat and centred. Like all crested ducks it must be bred crested-to-plain, as the crest gene is lethal in double dose.
