About the Lavender Muscovy

Lavender is an autosomal recessive needing two carrier parents: a soft pastel grey carrying faint reddish-purple tones, distinct from the cooler, plainer slate of Blue. Ducklings hatch with blue-grey heads and bodies. Rarer than the common black or white because it must breed true from carriers, it is otherwise the same large, tree-roosting, lean meat Muscovy.
