About the Black With White Bib Pomeranian Duck
The black Pomeranian is deep, lustrous black with a green beetle sheen over the back and wings, set off by a sharply defined white bib on the upper breast. Genetically it is the homozygous-black form behind the blue variety, and like all Pomeranians it lacks the white wing primaries seen on the Blue Swedish. The original colour of this old German Baltic-coast landrace, it is a sturdy, hardy dual-purpose duck laying a modest number of white eggs, now scarce and on conservation watchlists.
