About the Blue Sebastopol
Blue Sebastopols are a dilution-gene project, a single copy of the blue dilution lightening the plumage to a slate blue-grey with darker feather edging — cooler and more silvery than the grey bird. It is a non-standard colour, not recognised by the APA or BWA, and still uncommon. Like every Sebastopol it carries the long, soft, curling feathers that prevent real flight.
