About the Saddleback Sebastopol
Saddleback Sebastopols show a pied pattern — coloured plumage concentrated over the back and shoulders on an otherwise white body — most often as grey-back or buff-back. In the UK these arise when the spot gene is introduced and are non-standard, not recognised by the APA or BWA, but are prized by exhibition breeders for their striking contrast. The trailing frizzled feathers of the breed are unchanged beneath the pattern.
