About the Buff Steinbacher

Buff is a rare, non-standardised colour of the Steinbacher, recorded in Germany alongside cream but not recognised in the UK or US standards. In Britain it has effectively vanished — the buff and cream forms have not been seen in breeding stock for several years — making this a true rarity within an already scarce breed. Where it occurs it shows a warm, dilute buff in place of the usual blue or grey, retaining the orange bill and black eye-ring.
