About the Grey Toulouse
The original and by far most common Toulouse colour: a soft, even grey that's darker on the back and tail and lightens through the neck to a near-white underbelly and rump, with back and flank feathers edged paler. A pearly grey is preferred over dark or brown-grey birds. This is the form that carries the breed's massive frame, loose ruffled plumage and heavy dewlap; it was the first Toulouse recognised in the APA standard, in 1874.
