The original, wild-type colour: a dark grey body fully pearled with hundreds of even white spots over the entire plumage. This is the familiar farmyard guinea and the baseline from which all other colour mutations derive, carrying the breed's hardy, semi-wild, tick-clearing, alarm-call nature.
