About the Cobalt Blue With Black And White Striping Vulturine Guinea Fowl

This is the wild-type plumage of the monotypic Vulturine Guineafowl, and there is no other colour to compare it to. A brilliant cobalt-blue breast sits beneath a cape of long, glossy, lance-shaped hackles striped in black, white and blue, while the body is black finely spangled with white and topped by a bare, vulture-like blue face. The largest and most spectacular guinea fowl, with a longer neck and tail than its relatives, it is kept as a dramatic specialist's ornamental.
