About the Sandy Buff With Grey Throat See-see Partridge
This is the See-see's natural wild plumage and the species' only form, the very feature its scientific name Ammoperdix griseogularis ('grey-throated') describes. The cock is sandy buff above with wavy white-and-brown flank stripes, a grey head and throat, a black stripe through the eye and a clean white cheek patch; the hen is a washed-out version with a weak head pattern. The soft, desert-camouflaged colouring makes this a subtle ornamental gamebird kept by aviculture enthusiasts rather than a showy one.
