About the Charcoal Indian Peafowl
Charcoal shifts the bird to a dark, sooty charcoal-grey with notably pale wings, and largely lacks the bright iridescence of India Blue, giving a flat, matte appearance. It is an autosomal recessive colour, so both parents must carry it to produce charcoal chicks. The result is one of the darker, more subdued peafowl colours.
