About the Hazel Indian Peafowl
Hazel is a double-recessive colour combining the Bronze and Purple mutations and leans toward the Bronze side: the cock has a darker train and dark bluish-purple neck and, when young, closely resembles a Bronze male, while hens are light brown with telltale neck iridescence. It is the sister mutation to Indigo and among the first double-recessive colours seen in peafowl.
