About the Opal Indian Peafowl

Opal lightens and shifts the blue toward a soft chocolate ground overlaid with an iridescent aquamarine tint, giving a pastel, shimmering effect quite unlike the deep India Blue. It is an autosomal recessive colour requiring both parents to carry it, and is prized for its delicate, gemstone-like sheen.
