About the Sonja'S Violeta Indian Peafowl
Sonja's Violeta — named by George Conner for his wife Sonja — is an intensely coloured, non-fading violet form: the cock is overall deep African-violet with a very dark head and neck and dark-purple, black and beetle-green ocelli, its train actually darker than Midnight's. It is a sex-linked colour, always shown by hens and carried hidden by cocks.
