About the Pied Spalding Spalding Peafowl
The Pied Spalding combines the pied pattern — irregular white patches breaking up an otherwise normally coloured bird — with Spalding's Green-blended hybrid base, so emerald-and-blue plumage is scattered with white. Pied is a pattern rather than a colour, and is recognised as one of the named Spalding varieties; the mutation is mutually exclusive to the related silver pied form. Being a hybrid, the Spalding does not breed true, and pied expression varies bird to bird.
