About the Michigan Blueback Common Pheasant
The Michigan Blueback is a ringneck strain noted for a bluish cast to the rump and lower back, the "blue-back" trait that names it. It is a lighter, flighty bird sometimes inclined to wander further than other strains. In all other respects it carries the white neck ring and coppery-bronze, green-purple plumage typical of the common pheasant reared for game.
