About the Crimson With Black-Bordered White Spots Satyr Tragopan

The defining plumage: the cock is deep orange-crimson across neck, breast and underparts, peppered with white spots each ringed by a black border — it is the only tragopan to carry white dots on a red breast. A grey-blue bare face sets off the pattern, and in courtship he inflates two electric-blue fleshy horns and a patterned gular lappet for one of the bird world's most spectacular displays. A demanding Himalayan aviary species for the serious keeper.
