About the Silver White With Black Silver Pheasant
The nominate cock is named for its silvery-white upperparts and long white tail finely vermiculated and barred with black, set against glossy bluish-black underparts and crest, with a vivid scarlet bare face and crimson legs. Full adult plumage isn't attained until the second year. As one of the most popular and hardy ornamental pheasants, it is a common and rewarding aviary bird.
