About the Ginger Yellow Golden Pheasant
The ginger form shows the warm, sunlit end of the Yellow Golden's pastel palette: rather than pure lemon, the cock carries a pale orange cape over a soft salmon-orange body, with a pale-yellow crest and rump and the green mantle inherited from the Red Golden. It is a colour shade of Ghigi's yellow mutation of the Golden Pheasant (developed in Italy from the 1950s) rather than a separate recognised variety, and like all Yellow Goldens the colour can fade in strong sun, so the birds appreciate shade.
