About the Silver African Owl
A Silver is the dilute of blue: a pale, soft silvery-grey body whose two wing bars should be dark dun or brown rather than black, per the breed standard, set off by a green hackle sheen. This gentle, washed tone is one of the prettier patterned African Owls, displaying the breed's signature short owl-like beak and frothy chest frill on a compact, daintily built show bird.
