About the Copper With Iridescent Black Wings Archangel

The classic Archangel: a deep, brilliant copper-bronze body set against black wings carrying as much iridescent beetle-green sheen as possible — the wing lustre is judged the single most important feature of this variety. It is the original and most widely recognised form, and in Britain the black-and-copper combination is the only one accepted under the Archangel name. As with all Archangels, the breed is kept purely for this dazzling, almost burnished metallic plumage.
