About the Red Dragoon
The red Dragoon carries the ash-red factor, giving a warm rusty-red plumage that is prized when the colour is rich and even. Reds (with yellows) are considered among the harder Dragoon colours to breed well, as fanciers struggle to combine deep, even colour with the breed's correct businesslike type and neat beak wattle. A striking but less common alternative to the dominant blues.
