About the Kite English Long-faced Tumbler
Kite is a dark, lustrous T-pattern (deep chequer) bird carrying a rich bronze that flares in the wing, breast and tail base, giving the wings an almost black, bronze-shot look. In long-faced tumblers it is prized chiefly as the breeding partner that gives almonds their proper ground and flecking, but stands as a striking colour in its own right on this small, fine-headed exhibition breed.
