About the Red English Pouter
The red English Pouter is an ash-red bird carrying the warm red ground that also underlies the breed's marked (pied) families. A white tail is considered desirable in reds, though a pure white tail cannot be bred on an ash-red base. The rich colour accentuates the breed's slender, long-legged frame and its hallmark balloon crop.
