About the Red English Trumpeter

A self (solid) variety in deep ash-red, the warm colour carried evenly through the body, foot muffs and the rose and shell crests. Red is one of the long-established show colours of the breed and appears in the standard gallery alongside its baldhead form. Like every English Trumpeter it is a feather-buried ornamental bird kept purely for exhibition.
