About the Blue Frillback

A blue Frillback, the wild-type ground colour, most often seen as a blue grizzle or blue-black-barred shield-marked bird rather than a clean self, with the dark bluish ground sprinkled or barred to standard. Blues are among the most commonly seen Frillback colours. The bluish ground gives good contrast to the tightly curled wing-shield ringlets that, at fifty of a hundred points, decide success on the show bench.
