About the Black Jacobin
The Black Jacobin shows an intense, glistening black with a green metallic lustre, free from purple or any red/faded traces. As in all coloured Jacobins the body colour is broken by the standard markings — a white head from just below the eye, plus white rump, tail and as near ten white flights per wing as possible — which frame the enveloping feathered hood, mane and chain that define this dramatic exhibition breed.
